“Can we move the shoot up to… tomorrow? Paul has black eye, and its perfect”

This was the text I got 6 weeks before a planned engagement shoot with Kacy and Paul (a former pro hockey player who had taken a hockey puck to the eye earlier that day.) They wanted to do unconventional shots that just felt like a fun late night at their favorite bar - Lucky’s. Lucky’s is a Boston landmark I’ve been to many a time (a few of which I remember) and not at all your typical setting for an engagement shoot, so I was all in!
